Schools

Looking for a simple way to bring sustainability into your classroom?

Our Waste Wise Educators are here to help with fun, interactive workshops. We bring all the materials, handle the setup, and tailor each session to suit your class level and schedule. We’re currently funded in 2026, spaces are limited.
No paperwork. No prep. Just engaging, curriculum-linked sessions your students will love.

Meet Kerryn

Kerryn is our Schools Waste Wise Educator at Sustainable Kaipara, bringing over 25 years of teaching experience and a deep passion for environmental education. Alongside her work with Sustainable Kaipara, she is a local Nature School teacher who loves helping tamariki build meaningful connections with the natural world.

A passionate gardener, Kerryn finds joy in watching things grow and loves sharing that enthusiasm with others. Whether she’s in the classroom, the garden, or outdoors exploring, her goal is to inspire and empower young people to become lifelong kaitiaki of our beautiful environment.

Kerryn is also a mum of three, runs a local organic food co-op, and spends as much time as she can outside enjoying nature.
